I’m an artist, punk, photographer, event organizer and community worker. I’m originally from the Washington DC area and first moved to Pittsburgh in 1993.
I’ve always loved 19th century houses and had long wanted to do a renovation of an old house that would preserve the original layout and materials as much as possible. Not a perfect historic restoration, but one that respects the history and craftsmanship of the house. For the last several years my partner and I have slowly been fixing up a simple 1873 wood frame house in the East End of Pittsburgh. This is the online notebook for that project and things connected to it.
